A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix: Neil patrick Harris as Count Olaf

There is only over a month until the anticipated television adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events hit the small screenBut, as early as now, Neil Patrick Harris, is already doing press rounds for his upcoming project. In his guest appearance in The View, the actor talked about his character, Count Olaf, and the great lengths the villain goes through in order to get close to the Baudelaire orphans.

Transforming Into A Villain

In order to become Count Olaf, Harris recounted that he has to sit through two hours of prosthetics in order to achieve the villainous look. But, his wardrobe changes every time the series tackles another book.

Count Olaf follows Violet, Klaus and Sunny as they move from one guardian to another. The villain wears disguises in order to get close to the children and collect their inheritance.

So, the great challenge of this role for Harris is to act as Olaf in several disguises. “Each book he dons a different disguise,” he told the hosts of The View. He also joked that Captain Sham (Olaf’s disguise for book 3, The Wide Window) kind of sounds like Sean Connery. (Watch his interview here.)

Harris already previewed the disguises Olaf will wear in Season 1 of A Series of Unfortunate Events. On his Twitter, he published stills of Stefano, Captain Sham and Shirley.

Since Season 1, Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix has been establishing the ninja organization, The Hand, as a major and enduring antagonist. Their mythology was further explored as Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) learns that his college sweetheart, Elekta Natchios (Elodie Yung), was the mysterious Black Sky. But, will they play a bigger role in Season 3?

What is The Hand?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Spoilers

Spoilers about the upcoming episode were released recently and according to these latest teasers, all the characters will be busy with their own adventure while some might decide to take some time off.

Jake and Holt Help C.J.

TV Guide reported that as Jake Peralta and Captain Raymond are taking a break from their schedule, the duo will help Captain C.J. with a tough case.

Captain C.J. as many might remember was the dim-witted captain who was brought in as Holt’s replacement since the latter was under witness protection in Florida.

The reason for C.J. to become a Captain was also quite hilarious, so, it does not come as a surprise if he needs some help with a tough case. Going by his capability as a police officer, the case might not be that hard for Jake and Holt as they have literally been through a lot in the season.
